The design in this handsome little prayer rug leaves some room for rug buff conjecture and discussion. The very stylized, serrated leaf design shows an interesting, non-Muslim design element. Also, the weaver had finished about the lower 6 inches of the rug when they must have decided that the 'leaves' had not been placed correctly to achieve a desired pattern. Therefore, we see a new starting point with the bottom row shifted slightly over and to a good result in the end. Every Oriental rug, carpet or weaving presented here
