A simple repetition of the 'floral tiles' in diagonal rows gives an overall look seen in mosaic floor designs. The simple color palette makes for a very humble and pleasing effect. The pile shows definite signs of being well-used but will give many more years of service. This prayer rug has the braided goat's hair side overcasting associated with Timuri & Baluchi weaving. In any case, this is a nicely woven, modern prayer  rug with all hand-spun wool pile, warp and weft.
