This rug has the classically lustrous wool that made Baluchi rugs famous to collectors. The clean lines and clarity to the colors make this an example of what "once was" in Baluch rugs. Using a mixture of typically Turkoman and traditional Baluch motifs, the weaver made a simple statement in color and design. A wonderful prayer rug with ivory wool warp and braided goat's hair side over-wrap.
